Janet M. Radecke went to be with the Lord on April 26, 2025. She was the daughter of James and Ida Lynch and raised in Brooklyn, New York. She attended nursing school in Jamaica, Long Island. She served in the Air Force as a Registered Nurse. In 1979, she moved her family to South Carolina where she and a friend started a home health company. Later, she served as Director of Nursing at Baily Nursing Home in Clinton, SC, followed by being a Labor and Delivery nurse at St. Francis Hospital in Greenville, SC. After retirement, she worked part time at the Red Cross in Greenville as a Nurse Assistant Instructor.
Janet enjoyed working on projects around the house, gardening, woodworking and staying active. Most of all, she loved worshiping God. She has had many accomplishments but the one she is most proud of is raising her four children. She always had an encouraging word for anyone who needed it, and she never let her family members leave her presence without a big hug and an “I love you.” She was truly an incredible woman. She asked that those who love her not to be sad that she is gone, but that we rejoice in knowing she is with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She is celebrating!
Janet was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth F. Radecke, her parents James and Ida Lynch and her youngest sister Judy. She is survived by two sisters – Fran and Patricia, her children – Keith, Karen, Kim and Katrina, 8 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.
A drop-in celebration of her life will be Saturday, May 3, 2025, from 2 pm-4 pm at 1250 Marler Rd, Gray Court, SC.
