Timothy Lee Wendelken, 77, of Gray Court passed away Thursday, August 10, 2023.

Born in Dayton, OH he was a son of the late Herbert and Wilma Fulcher Wendelken. Mr. Wendelken had been an employee at Rike’s in Dayton, Ohio., Lord and Taylor, J.C. Penny’s in Dallas, Texas, and Wal-Mart in Simpsonville, SC. He was a member of the American Legion and Demolay.

He is survived by Nieces, Justine L. Smith and her husband James and Robin D. Mullis; Nephew, David A. Harris II; Brother-in-Law, David A. Harris; and multiple Great and Great-Great Nieces and Nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Sharon Kaye Harris and nephew, James Lex Mullis.

No services are planned at this time.

I was fortunate to have worked with Tim at JCPenney until he retired and moved to SC. We were in touch over the years and I knew something must have happened to him as there was no response when I attempted to contact him. I'm so sorry for your loss and the loss of a dear friend.
