Doris F. Taylor, 74, of Laurens, South Carolina, went home to be with the Lord on April 11, 2026, at 23:28, surrounded by the family she loved with her whole heart.
Born on June 13, 1951, Doris lived a life marked by quiet strength, unwavering faith, and a love that stretched across generations. She walked through hardship with grace, worked tirelessly to provide, and carried her family through life’s storms with steady hands and a fierce, gentle spirit. Her devotion to the Lord guided her steps, shaped her days, and was reflected in the way she cared for others—always giving more than she kept for herself.
Her greatest joy was her family. She poured her heart into her children and grandchildren. Teaching, comforting, laughing, and loving with a tenderness that made everyone around her feel safe.
Doris is survived by her children, Roger “Frankie” Taylor and Billie Jo Taylor; her grandchildren Amber, Brandon (Hannah), Carson (Carissa), and Trista (Christian); and her great grandchildren Cory, Aiden, Cortney, Nolen, and Brexton, each of whom brought her immeasurable pride and joy.
She is also survived by her brothers Thomas (Patsy) Faulkner and Andrew Faulkner; by Krystal and Tinker Roberts; by her daughter in law Keila and her daughter in love Brandi Griffin; and a special friend, Jessica Crocker, who held a special and irreplaceable place in Doris’s heart.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter Brenda Elaine Lewis; her infant son Stevie Lewis; her sister Inez Faulkner; her brothers Arthur and Leon Faulkner; and her beloved husband Roger “Bill” Taylor.
Doris leaves behind a legacy of faith, resilience, and unconditional love. Though her body grew tired, her spirit never dimmed. She fought long and hard, and now she rests in the peace she so richly deserves—whole, healed, and held in the arms of the Lord.
Her love remains, carried forward in every story, every memory, and every heartbeat of the family she built.
